Decluttering Chants
Seems like everyone is in the mood for cleaning out closets and clearing the clutter out of their lives, both physically and mentally. I have these cleaning chants in my kitchen BOS (yes, I have several, sue me). I don't know who the author is, unfortunately, but I love these chants. Nothing is better than a tidy house and a tidy mind. Or tidy-ish, lol!
Plate that holds my food,
I am in a dirty mood,
As I wash you simple plate,
take away my dirty state.
Simple cup all coffee stained.
Where is the peace I sought to gain?
As I make you clean and new,
let my soul be renewed too.
Silverware who is sliver no more.
remind me what life is for.
Tarnish does not make you less,
Remind me that all can be blessed.
Pots and Pans that break my nails,
with your stubborn stains & such
When you shine, peace is mine,
I'm renewed and ready for much.
Counter top all cluttered and dirty,
Way station for all manner of things,
Let me clean myself as I clean you,
And see what the renewal brings.
Tacky floor all covered in crud..
My life has been dragged thru mud.
Hot water, soap and mop for you,
Let my life be cleaned up too.
