Why isn't there more basic information on paganism?
We believe that there are a great many sites and resources out there that talk about many aspects of paganism. To educate people on this topic is not within the scope of our site. We assume that our audience already has a working knowledge of their religious traditions. If you have any specific questions, please browse on over to our forums and ask your question in the appropriate section within the spirituality subforum.
Article Permissions
The Internet being what it is, it is possible that copyrights have been altered. Every effort has been made to obtain all required permissions to feature something on our site. We'd love for this site to have as many resources as possible on it; however, we don't want this at the expense of others.In the event that you believe we have made a mistake by featuring work on our site, with incorrect or missing sources, please let us know so we can correct our mistake!
Why bother making more listings of the same old topics - covens, festivals, etc?
Many of the lists floating around the Internet - even trusty old Witchvox, which we have only good things to speak about - have outdated listings. We are trying to keep our listings up to date.
Why isn't xyz coven listed?
Not every coven or festival will be listed. We try to only include active groups that are family friendly, firmly established enough to be providing significant services to their communities. We specifically look for groups that are incorporated or have a 501 certification. If you have a group such as this that we have missed, let us know! Groups that are currently establishing their presence should be listed in the local section of our forums. In the future we might have a better way of having users submit their personal information, but we're not quite there yet!
Can I sell my product on this site?
If you have an online store or a product that you wish to sell, by all means let us know and we will work on getting the word out. There is space for paid advertising if you want to link your site, and we can also feature your handmade items in our exclusive items store. If you have a brick-and-mortar store, we can list you in our shops page.
You have a lot of articles about natural birth, attachment parenting, etc. I believe in hospital births and non-AP child rearing. Do you think I'm less of a pagan?
Of course not. However, we believe part of paganism is to get in touch with our natural sides, to trust in the Mother who gave us instincts on how to birth our babies and care for them. Mainstream Western culture is somewhat separated from these cycles, and we seek to get in touch with them. However, just as you're not any less of a pagan if you live in the city instead of on a rural property, eat at McDonalds instead of raising your own food via gardening, or prefer driving an air conditioned car to work instead of walking in the heat, so-called "natural parenting" doesn't have to be a part of your practices. If you have articles or links that you would like to submit for consideration, please do so, and we just might include them for a change of perspective.
Do you personally vouch for the churches/circles/daycare providers/scout leaders/etc that you list in your directories?
No, we have not met each provider individually. We know no more about them than they have portrayed through their Internet presence. Please use common sense and all the safety measures you normally would when meeting strangers off the Internet. We do try to choose quality service providers to list on our sites, but you absolutely must not assume that since they are listed here they are any "safer" than they would be if you found out about them from any other source. However, if you do make contact with anyone in our directories, whether the experience is positive or negative we'd like to know so we know more about the people on our pages!
